I will say I think my love for Agito grows over thyme (ayyy)

I do feel there’s no real requirement for it’s connections to Kuuga, all the mentions of Kuuga could of been waved at some vague event or prophecy or something. However, it’s connections to Kuuga doesn’t hinder it, other than it may give you tonal whiplash if you come straight from Kuuga. Agito kind of has those sorts of problems as we brought kamen rider back where they were working out what they wanted it to be. This is more like what heisei kamen rider would be than Kuuga was. If you’ve got someone who can wave away not knowing the brief mentions of Kuuga, you could even start them off here pretty well.

All the characters are very likeable, the story is good, and I loved the comedy in it.

I love Shouichi, he’s funny and just pulls people into him whatever he does. He’s a good person even though he’s incredibly good at manipulating every police officer that tries to question him and getting them to do chores for him. He makes a fantastic rider that’s fun to watch and it’s great to watch him grow over the series and recover his lost memories.

Hikawa really makes for the dynamic with Shouichi. He’s clumsy and lovable and so so easy for Shouichi to bully. I love Hikawa a lot, and his crush on a large bug man he takes his time to realise might be human. He just saw a bug man and was still like “no I’m still interested”.

Oh, Ryo. If you saw a girl you were in love with her. Then three days later she’d be dead and you’d cry about it for the rest of the series. Ryo, have you tried knowing a girl before she was killed off? I love you, SadMan ManyDeadWives. Ryo’s someone completely different from Shouichi so it’s really good to have them to compare. Ryo’s angry, and wants answers to the mysteries. He’s more active than Shouichi and works really hard throughout the series. He does a great job of keeping the momentum in the series.

I love Kino, I watched this series for Kino in his extremely short appearance. I did learn why he didn’t talk much in GoRider though; he only talks about his brother. Everything is about his brother he never stops. I love him despite it.

I highly recommend Agito, it’s a great story, it’s great comedy. Please, watch Kamen Rider Agito.
