Kamen Rider V3

Showa continues on it’s goofy ways. Kazami Shiro suffers a tragic accident in episode 1 resulting in his brain being exploded before his surgery is complete. This isn’t a plot point but it’s very clear to see in the footage, so we have to accept Kazami Shiro has no brain. Lucky for him, everyone around him is equally stupid.

V3 is so much dumb goofy showa fun. Also, Shiro LOVES to just shove kids on his back in the middle of fights like that’s the smart thing to do.

V3 carries on from when the original series left off and it works really well. It carries the same tone and feeling, I only really mark it less than the original series because I love Hayato so much.

I love Shiro a Lot. He does have our rider suffer story, the same one as Terui Ryu. Only his body and brain have been destroyed and he’s just not aware. Also he could stub his toe and insist this was the work of Destron.

Yuki is an interesting character in early rider, he’s the first time we’ve really had a character come from the enemy and stick around. More importantly, he’s not just some victim, but someone who willingly worked for Destron and believed in the ideals they gave him. Yuki’s interesting but there’s only one thing that awaits such a person in showa.

Please, watch V3 is the memory that Shiro has tragically lost his brain. I swear it makes the show even better.
