Okay first of all; the acting is atrocious, the music is atrocious, but overall the series is fine. I definitely get why people hate it, because it’s not good, and it would be easy to hate. Especially since the villains are pretty much unlikeable, I couldn’t care at all about them. To the point I straight up forgot most of them before checking to write this post.

Mack’s actor really has no clue what accent he wants to go for. Mack is one of the actualy characters I remember pretty well from this series, mostly because he looks like he’s in his 20s, is actually 2, and acts like he’s 2. His dad loves him, is incredibly clear about it, and he ignores it. He clearly has emotions and is extremely dramatic, but the second he learns he’s a robot (popular twist at the time I guess they did it in beyblade too) he’s whining about not having emotions. Honestly, I did get frustrated with him but not enough to ever hate him. He is kind of petty as a ranger though, like I said he acts his age. If it doesn’t go his way he has no drive to keep going unless pushed. I do genuinely love his relationship with his father… or rather how much his father loves him, Mack is a complete jerk to him over it.

Tyzonn is the other actual character I remember, mostly because of all the rangers he passes the least for anything close to a teenager. The other things are he’s sadman deadwife which wasn’t the worst I’ve seen it (exaid) and that he’s a puddle of mercury trying to act as a human and before that a lizard. He also has an actual solid backstory, which gives him good reason to be so cautious about joining the rangers in the beginning. I kind of want back that lizard form, it felt good and we deserve lizard.

Spencer is the other standout character in this, being probably the best actor of the lot, getting the funniest stuff to work with, and acting as moral support to everyone throughout the series. Everything would of fallen apart without Spencer’s greatness.

Overall, it’s probably fine as long as you don’t expect too much, but it’s probably going to lack a lot if you’ve seen other seasons.
